Contradicting Srila Prabhupada
|

Winter 2005/6
“My Godbrother Sarvabhavana Prabhu told
me that he asked Srila Prabhupada why the person Bhagavat is
considered more important than the book
Bhagavat. Srila Prabhupada replied, “Because he can pull your
ear.”

“A devotee is called Bhagavata, and the
book about Bhagavan, that is also Bhagavata. There are two kinds of
Bhagavatam: the living Bhagavatam is the devotee, and the
representation Bhagavatam is the Bhagavat-grantha.
There is no difference.
Absolute means there is no difference. Krsna is absolute;
therefore either this grantha Bhagavatam or the devotee
Bhagavatam, or Krsna—they’re all one.”
(Srila Prabhupada, 12/1/1973)
